AK47 Teen Patti is a popular variant of the classic three-card game Teen Patti. Its defining feature is the set of wild (joker) cards: four ranks — Aces, Kings, 4s and 7s (A-K-4-7, which is where the name comes from) — can each stand in for any other card. Apart from these wild cards, the variant follows ordinary Teen Patti play and the same hand rankings.

Because four whole ranks act as jokers, strong hands such as trails and sequences turn up far more often than in the standard game, which changes how a round feels and how players bet. This guide explains what AK47 Teen Patti is, how a round is played, the basic rules and how the wild cards change the game. If you are new to the three-card game itself, start with our guide to standard Teen Patti for the base rules and hand rankings.

What is AK47 Teen Patti

AK47 Teen Patti is a wild-card variant of Teen Patti, the three-card game popular across India. The variant takes its name from the four ranks that act as wild cards: Aces, Kings, 4s and 7s — A, K, 4 and 7. A wild card can be treated as any card the player needs to complete a hand, so a hand that holds one or more of these ranks can be turned into something stronger.

Everything else about the game stays the same as standard Teen Patti. Each player is dealt three cards, there is a boot to start the pot, players choose blind or seen play, and a round is resolved with a show. The only real difference is the presence of the wild cards and the effect they have on how often strong hands appear. To learn more about how this site prepares its game guides, see our About page.

How to Play AK47 Teen Patti

A round of AK47 Teen Patti follows the same flow as ordinary Teen Patti, with the wild cards taken into account when hands are compared:

  1. Post the boot. Before any cards are dealt, every player puts the agreed boot amount into the pot to get the round started.
  2. Receive three cards. Each player is dealt three cards face down. Any Aces, Kings, 4s or 7s among them are wild and can stand in for any other card.
  3. Play blind or seen. You can play blind, without looking at your cards, or look at them and play seen. As in standard Teen Patti, a blind player stakes less than a seen player.
  4. Bet in turn (chaal). Players take turns to bet (chaal) to stay in the round, or fold (pack) and give up their stake for that round.
  5. Ask for a side show. Where the rules allow, a seen player may ask the previous seen player for a side show to privately compare hands; the weaker hand folds.
  6. Reach the show. When only two players remain, either can call for a show. The hands are compared using the standard rankings, with any wild cards counted as the best card for their owner. The stronger hand wins the pot.

Responsible Gaming

AK47 Teen Patti is meant to be light entertainment and stays enjoyable only when it is kept in proportion. The game is for users aged 18 and above, and its outcomes depend on the cards you are dealt — it is not a way to make money or a source of income. Decide a time and money limit before you start, never stake more than you can comfortably afford to lose, and step away when you reach your limit whether you are ahead or behind. Frequently Asked Questions

AK47 Teen Patti is a variant of the classic three-card game Teen Patti in which four ranks act as wild cards: Aces, Kings, 4s and 7s (A-K-4-7). A wild card can stand in for any other card to complete a hand. Everything else follows standard Teen Patti play.

The name comes from the four ranks that are wild in this variant: A (Aces), K (Kings), 4 (4s) and 7 (7s). Put together, A-K-4-7 reads as AK47, which is an easy way to remember which cards are wild.

The wild cards are all the Aces, Kings, 4s and 7s in the deck. Each one a player holds can be treated as any card needed to make a stronger hand, which is sixteen wild cards in total across the deck.

A round starts with a boot, then each player is dealt three cards. Players choose blind or seen play and bet in turn (chaal) until players fold or a show is called. At the show, hands are compared using standard rankings with any wild cards counted as the best card for their owner.

The structure is the same, but in AK47 four ranks (A, K, 4 and 7) act as wild cards. Because so many cards are wild, strong hands such as trails and sequences appear far more often, and a hand with no wild cards is comparatively weak.

The rankings are the same as standard Teen Patti, from strongest to weakest: trail (three of a kind), pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair, and high card. Wild cards are substituted in to form the best possible hand for their owner.

Yes. The boot, blind and seen play, chaal, side show and show all work the same way as in standard Teen Patti. The only change is the presence of the wild cards and their effect on hand strength.

The cards are dealt at random, so chance plays a large part in every round. Decisions about when to bet, when to fold and when to call a show add an element of judgement, but no decision can change which cards you are dealt.

AK47 Teen Patti is intended for adults aged 18 and above, and should be treated as entertainment rather than a way to make money. Please read our Responsible Gaming page before you play.
