What is Mines

Mines is a simple grid-based game where you uncover tiles one at a time, trying to reveal safe tiles while avoiding the hidden mines. Each safe tile you turn over takes you a step further, and you can choose to stop at any point. Unlike a card game such as Teen Patti, Mines has no hands, opponents or dealing. It is just you, a grid of covered tiles, and a decision after every safe pick: keep going for more, or stop. That constant stop-or-continue choice is the heart of the game.

How to Play Mines

A round of Mines follows this flow:

1. Set up the round. Choose how many mines to place on the grid and set your stake before the round begins.
2. Reveal a tile. Tap any covered tile. If it is a safe tile, you may continue; if it is a mine, the round ends.
3. Decide each step. After every safe tile, you choose whether to reveal another tile or to stop and lock in your progress for the round.
4. Stop when you want. You can end the round at any point after at least one safe tile, before risking another pick.
5. Round resolves. The round ends either when you choose to stop or when you reveal a mine. A new round then starts with a freshly shuffled grid.

Basic Rules

The rules of Mines are short. The game uses a grid of covered tiles, and a set number of those tiles are mines while the rest are safe. Before the round you decide how many mines are hidden on the grid. You then reveal tiles one at a time. Revealing a safe tile lets you continue; revealing a mine ends the round immediately. You may choose to stop after any safe tile to keep your progress for that round. The placement of the mines is decided at random by the game and is fixed for the round once it begins, but it is hidden from you, so every pick carries the chance of being safe or a mine.

Grid & Gameplay Mechanics

The grid and your mine choice are what shape each round:

• Grid size. Mines is usually played on a square grid — commonly five by five, which is 25 tiles — though some tables offer other sizes. Every tile starts covered.
• Safe tiles. All the tiles that are not mines are safe. Revealing a safe tile lets you keep going and adds to your progress for the round.
• Mine tiles. A set number of tiles, chosen by you before the round, are mines. Revealing any mine ends the round straight away.
• Risk and reward concept. The more mines you place, the fewer safe tiles remain, so each pick is riskier — and tables reflect that higher risk with a higher potential multiplier. Fewer mines means safer picks but a smaller step up per tile. Choosing how many mines to set, and how far to push before stopping, is the core trade-off of the game. This describes how the game is balanced; it is not a promise of any payout.
• Round outcomes. Each round ends in one of two ways: you stop after one or more safe tiles and keep your progress, or you reveal a mine and the round is over. Every round is independent of the last.

• You control the risk. Setting the number of mines yourself lets you make a round as cautious or as bold as you like.
• Stop anytime. The option to end the round after any safe tile keeps you in control of every round.

• Remember that each tile is random — a run of safe tiles does not make the next pick any safer.
• Treat each round as independent; a mine in one round tells you nothing about the next.
• Set a budget before you play and treat it as the cost of entertainment, not a way to make money.
• Do not chase losses, and take regular breaks — stop when you reach the limit you set.
